Something About Hair Removal

Are you feeling shame for unwanted body hair? Are you in depression? If   unwanted body hair is the only cause of your depression, then I can suggest you some hair removal methods to solve this problem. Before that, let’s take a quick look on body areas where hair is often removed.
Hair grows on all over the human body except the palms of the hands, the lips, certain areas of the genital structure and the soles of the feet. But a certain number of people have a noticeable hair growth on face, legs, chest, back, eyebrows, eyelashes, abdomen and pubic area. Hair on that area is often removed by waxing, trimming, plucking and shaving.

Hair Removal Methods:

There are two methods of hair removal
1. Temporary Hair Removal Methods,
2. Permanent Hair Removal Methods

Temporary:

Depilation involves the removal of hair from skin surface and this can be achieved by several ways.
Shaving or trimming:  It is the most common method and it is done manually by using razor or tweezers or by electric razors. Shaving is safe but hair grows back quickly.
Depilatories: Several depilatory creams which dissolves hair, are used to remove unwanted hair. It can cause allergy and irritation. Though it is painless, it is not an permanent solution to get rid of this problem.

Epilation involves removal of hair from the root. It has the long lasting effect. There are several procedures to achieve this.
Waxing: A hot or cold layer of sticky paste is applied and it is removed by a porous strips. It’s really a painful process. Since hair is removed from the hair shaft, not from the skin surface, re growth of hair is slower.
Threading & Plucking: In this process, hair is removed by using twisted thread or tweezers.
Epilators: Mechanical devices are used to pull out the hair rapidly.

Permanent:

Laser Treatment: If you are looking for a permanent solution, then laser hair removal is the best choice. The laser light based devices are used to remove the unwanted facial hair. Being non invasive and more gentle, it is most popular one. Always consult a doctor before going for laser treatment.
Electrolysis: This type of hair removing method provides a long lasting effect. Hair follicles are destroyed by using electric current. It is painful too.

  1. You can apply Vaniqa or any hair growth inhibitor. From http://www.hairremoval.in/hairinhibitor.html

  2. My wife's aunt is a dermatologist and had this done for free. She never would have had paid for it if it wasnt' for her aunt. But knowing what she knows now, my wife would have paid for it in a SECOND! The results were outstanding and permanent (3 years so far)

It works…it REALLY works. Keep in mind it will take AT LEAST two treatments, maybe even three or four depending on your hair, the area, and thickness.

Also, find a reputable dermatologist. There are very minimal risks involved, but lot of fly by night companies are doing these procedures. The risks are amplified if you go with someone that doesn’t know what they are doing. You can end up with scars and burns if you go with an amateur . You shouldn’t worry about this with a true MD. If it is an MD find out how long they have been doing it.

I don’t know how it works, but the laser only “zaps” dark colors. Non-caucasians (Latinas, blacks, or other dark skinned people) may have to go through more treatments. The laser will have to be turned down as to not burn the darker skin. Some very dark skinned individuals may not be able to have the procedure done.

The $750 – $1000 sounds inline with what you should pay for TOTAL removal…ie multiple sessions. That sounds pretty high for a single session.

You should expect lots of red splotches and some light to moderate swelling in the treated areas for a few days. So if you have your upper lip done people at work will know you had something done the next day. It look kind of like a fresh waxing times two or three. I don’t think it is anything to be ashamed of. But if you are self-conscious about this you may want to have the procedure done on a Thurs or Friday and take a day or two off of work.

It can be a little painful in some places. Not severe, but you will feel a little something.

    Hope that helps!

  3. I get laser hair removal and to prepare you need to shave (don't wax the day before because shaving still exposes the tip of the hair which is what the laser needs to see) the day before you go or else the laser will hurt a LOT worse than if there was no hair. (without hair its a tolerable pain and not bad at all) But if you forget to shave you don't have to worry because they always provide razors at the place and shave the area for you but from my experience they always miss spots.. so it's better to prepare the day before. And yes you can go even though you've been waxing but they are going to suggest you not wax after the laser treatment for atleast a few days because the area will be sensitive. You also can't expose the area to sunlight so if you do your upper lip you'll have to make sure you don't have outside plans for the next few days.

  4. I have always used Bikini Zone, it helps with ingrowns and with razor burn, no bumps or anything. I would also try A & D ointment, it's super cheap and it clear so you can't see it.

  5. # STEP 1: Consider bleaching. Although this does not get rid of unwanted hair, it does lighten hair to a soft blond hue, rendering mustaches almost invisible. Some women also bleach the hair on their arms.

    # STEP 2: Try depilatories'cream-based products you apply on top of unwanted hair. Depilatories, popular for the bikini area, come with specific instructions for how long to leave the cream on. When you rinse away the depilatory, the unwanted hair should wash away with the cream. However, results vary widely.

    # STEP 3: Use that old standby'shaving. It's fast and easy, but the hair grows back quickly. Women should never shave a mustache, as it will grow back stubbly and not soft.

    # STEP 4: Consider plucking, which is effective for small patches of hair. Keep in mind that repeated tweezing of the same hairs over the years can damage the hair roots enough to result in permanent hair removal, so be careful when tweezing eyebrows'if styles change, you may not get your old brows back.

    # STEP 5: Evaluate waxing'especially popular for eyebrows and the bikini area. A mixture of hot oil, rosin and paraffin is spread over unwanted hair. Once the wax cools, it's ripped off, along with the unwanted hairs. Though this method can be uncomfortable, the advantage is that the hair doesn't return for several weeks.

    # STEP 6: Investigate sugaring, a technique devised by the ancient Egyptians that uses all-natural ingredients. A paste of sugar and water is applied over unwanted hair. When the sugar mix dries, it's yanked off, along with the hair. As with waxing, the advantage is that the hair doesn't return for several weeks; the discomfort is similar to that of pulling off a bandage with hair underneath.

    # STEP 7: Look into electrolysis, which involves removal of each hair with an electric current and a fine needle. You must continue electrolysis for several months or even years to remove all unwanted hair, and the process can be quite painful.

I hope this helps you out!

  6. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

  7. There is nothing wrong with getting laser hair removal on your privates. Lots of guys do it for various aesthetic reasons. It is also normal for you to get an erection during a procedure, as the laser tech is handling your manhood, shaving it, and laser it. They are professional and it happens to them often. If you break the ice and smile and joke with them, it makes the whole process easier. I know from personal experience that the procedure can be quite stimulating, as I have also had the experience of being shaved and having a bit of pre-kum show, however the technician simply smiled, giggled, and wiped me off without comment. It was a huge relief that they made light of my "issue", which relaxed me tremendously.

    Good luck! Hope this helps!

  8. Some clinics in Beverly Hills are a rip off. You will want to check on how recent their technology is and you may want to do some research on satisifed customers. Address does not always equal quality. The attached sites may offer some info on surveys for the location you are interested in.

Separately, given your hair color and skin tone, you should be able to get very good results in 4-6 treatments.
