However if you still want to undergo this type of treatment, make sure that the therapist you go to is very skilled and experienced in using this device because it is a machine that is difficult to operate.
The different laser light systems being used might contribute to the differences in the cost of laser hair removal but it is safe to make estimates on their prices because the different devices and their costs do not veer too far away from each other. The maximum cost of laser hair removal for your upper lip might run up to two hundred dollars per procedure.
For a full faced-beard, the price can go as high as three hundred fifty dollars per session. For chin hair removal, it may only cost one hundred fifty dollars per session. The price for a hair removal session on the chest or the back of the neck will also cost you three hundred dollars. The price range for underarms can reach to two hundred seventy-five dollars and treatment for the full back can set you behind for about a thousand dollars.

The first couple of treatments are more painful because you have more hair. It’s not that painful….feels like somone snapping you with a rubberband. Makes you jump a little at times. But who care, it’s totally worth it. I guess they are now making a laser home box. Silk”n SensEpil. But not sure how effective it is.

Okay… science answer:
You grow in at least 80% of your hair during puberty. When you have laser hair removal the hairs it kills will never grow again. But you still have up to 20% of your normal thickness that will grow in throughout the rest of your life. So people get touch up sessions every 3-5 years after their big 6 treatments. You need about 6 treatments, one each 2 months for a year, because the hair grows in different stages and it can only kill hair in the active growth stage. The laser works by targeting dark color (the hair follicle) and passing through light color (the skin) the hair and skin have to be very different shades of color for the hair to work. It burns the dark color disabling the hair follicle so hair cannot grow from it again. The darker and coarser the hair and lighter the skin, the better results you will have.
Okay… Personal Experience:
I've had 4 out of my 6 treatments so far. It HURTS! It's like being poked with a sewing needle over and over, but it's not as painful as a tattoo, and that's not as painful as childbirth, maybe that can put the pain in perspective for you =) I've had my legs, underarms, and bikini area done. When you get your bikini area done they do ALL of it! Including spreading your butt and vaginal lips apart to laser all the cracks… It's sorta awkward. After the 4 treatments I've had so far I've lost about 80% of leg hair, 80% bikini hair, and 80% underarms hair. But the legs are the most painful. The more it hurts the better it works. I have only a few hairs left around my ankles but every time the ankles hurt the worst for me.

Usually the treatment causes 1 to 3 hours and needs a repeated treatment every 6 months or 12 months until the whole hair follicle gets damaged. well, i recently signed up for some hair removal and let me tell you, it can be pricey! i dont know about each specialist but the person im going to has a price chart and each section of the body has different prices. it really depends on how much of the body u want to get done..i would say on average for one body part like lets say the chest it would probably be like a thousand dollars-and a side note-i saw the answer from the person before me..it is permanent
