As someone going through tattoo removal, let me give you some advice. DO NOT do it yourself, or buy a machine and attmept to have someone do it for you. When I get mine done, there are NUMEROUS machines running at once. There is the lazer, the coolant machine, seriously… you can burn yourself/her SO BADLY!!! I have gone twice, and you wouldn't know if I didn't tell you. You have to wait AT LEAST 4 weeks between treatments, and the longer you wait the better it works. you need to give the ink time to be absorbed into your body once it has been broken up by the laser.

Depends on what state you are in…in a few the Dr. must own the practice, in others a Dr. doesn't even have to be around and in most you can own the business but you will need physician oversight. What state are you considering?

Cynosure alexandrite is pretty good if you have light skin and dark hair. You may also want to consider a diode laser or a Gentlelaser system. If you have darker skin or lighter hair, you may want to go with an Nd:Yag or an IPL type of offering.

Either way, make sure they own the equipment and that laser hair removal is a major part of their practice. The attached sites offer more info on LHR and equipment and offers survey scoring for a number of LHR providers.

Alexandrite – GentleLase, LighSheer – Diode, are very similar machines and will work well if you have light skin and dark hair. There are some knew systems out there if you have darker skin or light hair that you are trying to treat. The attached site has information on different types of equipment.

Price seems fine. There is almost no way that you will get full results in 4-6 treatments with african american skin color. You may want to get a 2nd opinion just to be sure. The attached site has provider options.

Don't purchase it if it's only 20 hairs thats a waste wait til more hair grows then buy and use it it'll be more worth it. Laser hair removal does not work the same for everyone. Some people have better results. It works best on some skin, and hair types.
