Hair Removal: Know All The Methods

Most of us are concerned about the amount of hair on our bodies, and there are many options for those who desire to rid themselves of unsightly hair. Shaving and plucking are the most popular methods of hair removal, but there are also methods known as waxing, sugaring and threading.
Shaving is the most popular method of hair removal. It’s simple and can be accomplished with a straight razor or an electric razor. Some electric shavers provide best results after use of pre-shaving gels, creams or lotions, as can shaving with a straight razor.
Plucking is used as a method of hair removal for unsightly or unwanted facial hair. Using tweezers, hair removal from eyebrows is generally accomplished by hand held or electric tweezers. Tweezing pulls the hair out by its roots but it can be time consuming, depending on the results you’re looking for, as each hair must be pulled out individually. Until the skin around the area becomes desensitized, this process can be on the painful side, and redness, inflammation can occur. For most, the effects of tweezing can last anywhere from three to eight weeks.
Threading is becoming a more popular trend in hair removal methods. This ancient hair removal process continues to be used in various parts of the world today, including parts of southwest Asia and the Middle East. To facilitate hair removal with this method, a long loop of thread, mostly cotton, is twisted into a figure-8 type shape and rolled along the surface of the skin. Hairs caught between the coiled pieces of string are pulled out by their roots, resulting in near perfect smoothness. This method suits hair removal from eyebrows and other facial areas, and is considered by many to be less painful than the plucking hair removal method.
Waxing is a hair removal method that is a little more time intensive and messy, though such inconveniences are more than outweighed by the fact that this method is extremely effective in hair removal of just about any type of body hair. Waxing facilitates the removal of entire shafts of hair, from below the surface of the skin. This method can be accomplished using either cool or hot wax. Be advised that waxing for hair removal, however effective, can cause skin irritations that may last several hours, and if not done carefully, can produce burns and other unpleasant results.
A hair removal method similar to waxing is one called sugaring. In this method, a sugar mixture is used instead of wax. Blending and heating sugar, water and lemon juice until it develops into a pasty mixture creates this concoction. This mixture is then applied to the surface of the skin, like a wax treatment, followed by a strip of cotton, which is then rapidly pulled off the skin in the opposite direction of the hair growth. This method of hair removal is popular among those who are sensitive to the ingredients in wax.
So take your pick, try them out and decide which method of hair removal best suits your time and your preferences.

you can by using hair removal cream
also follow these great tips
# Allow your hair to grow a little longer before shaving to help prevent your hair from becoming ingrown.
# Use skincare products that are specially created for sensitive skin, such as shaving gels with extra lubrication and less foam.
# Exfoliate the skin regularly by using a facial scrub. This will remove the dead layers of skin, thus removing some of the potential cells that may clog your pores and aid ingrown hairs.
I've been using a hair buffer on my legs and I like it. I can't afford treatments of anything
Pros of waxing-
quick, long lasting results, if you wax frequently the hair can stop growing completely, less chance of ingrown hairs
Cons of waxing-
Your hair needs to be quite long before you can wax it, painful, skin can become irritated, messy
Pros of laser-
most long lasting way of removing hair, hair becomes thinner
Cons of laser-
painful, doesnt work on everyone- depends on skin type & hair, very expensive
Pros of epilator-
easy to use, quick, hair can grow back finer, lasts about 4 weeks
Cons-
Cant be used on stubble, very painful, shouldnt be used on sensitive areas
Pros of shaving-
cheap, quick, easy to get the hang of, doesnt hurt at all
Cons-
Can cut yourself easily, ingrown hairs can occur, shaving rash, hairs grown back very quickly, need to use with shaving gel
It is possible for any one to follow laser hair removal procedure safely but at the same time there are a few reasons why we would not be able to go for laser hair removal program. People with very highly sensitive skin or fair skin or certain persons with rare skin conditions cannot under go this procedure…
It all depends on where this "unwanted hair" is – some regions of the body are more sensitive than others, so hair removal treatment varies accordingly – not only across gender and price.
Waxing/Sugaring is pretty handy, you can wax almost any part of your body with nice results. Hair growth isn't too fast – at least 2 weeks of no unwanted hair results from waxing. However, as cheap/expensive as waxing can be – it can be painful having hair torn off your body. For best results, I suggest seeing professional waxers or using a VERY good waxing product.
Plucking is cheap and you can easily do it yourself but it can be painful. You also need time to yourself to pull all the individual hairs out. Some places are easier to pluck than others, but its important to be gentle to avoid tearing away at skin and/or causing bleeding. Hair growth can be between days or a week up to a couple of weeks and you may need to do it frequently.
Threading is a lot like plucking, but instead it pulls out more hairs in less goes than plucking (it can also be less painful than plucking). It's therefore faster. It's best for facial hair removal, and is pretty cheap too. Hair growth is similar to plucking results.
Hair removal creams like "Veet" are similar to waxing, but less/not painful (unless you have skin irritations from it). They are very simple to use and well as cheap with decent results. Hair regrowth occurs probably 1-2.5 weeks after using it. There are some areas of the body they probably don't work TOO well on though, and sometimes not enough hair is removed (if any at all). It depends on the hair type.
Shaving/Trimming are the most popular hair removable technique but hair grows back rapidly within days. There are also a few unwanted developments which can occur from shaving though – cuts, rashs and bumps on the skin. For some, shaving even results in more coarse hair… so be careful where you put that razor…
For permanent hair removal, you can have a look at things like Lasers, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and Electrolysis… and these can get expensive.
I think theres Nair for sensitive skin. I personally am to impatient to wait for chemical hair removal but it could be right for you
Laser works the best it takes a treatment every 6 weeks 7 times. Once it is gone it is gone forever no more waxing or shaving ever again. I went in for a consultation and they were asking like $1600 for a complete treatment. I kept telling the rep I was going to other consultations such as through my doc and another reputable hair removal company. This seemed to get her attention she tried to sell me on the differences in how their laser might hurt more she said her laser is changed on a monthly basis. I let her know I knew it would be some what painful I was expecting that so I am shopping price. She tried a little more to close me at that price and I said I really had to get going but I thanked her for her time. She finally said OK I tell you what. I will do it for $500 to save you the time and earn your business. DONE!! You should always wheel and deal with businesses. You will be so happy you did and no more hair ever ever again.
I saw the commercial a little over a month ago and ordered it, and it just came today. I tried it out and it barely worked. It says it only takes a few gentle circular motions, but I ended up having to do like twenty in one direction and then twenty in the other in the same spot, pressing hard, and it just barely took off the hair. After I was done with one leg about a half hour had gone by. I tried it on my bikini area and it didn't work at ALL. Also, you come to find out that each pad only has about a two-use lifespan, so you'll go thru them quickly and therefore have to keep ordering more and more replacement pads.
Your hair will not grow back thicker, in fact with each use it will grow back finer and finer (according to the box). That is, IF it can actually take your hair off in the first place. One redeeming quality it has is that it DOES exfoliate nicely. But as for hair removal, no.
At least not for me. I've heard multiple online reviews just raving about it and I heard they did it to someone on the View and it worked quickly and easily. I guess my hair just sucks. But whatever, I'm still going to get my money back.
Good luck with whatever you try!
